The stalling of Project Freedom, which was set to see US forces escort trapped ships out of the Strait of Hormuz, comes as a US Navy warship was reportedly hit by two missiles in the Strait of Hormuz yesterday, according to Iranian media.

US Central Command has since denied claims by writing on X: “No U.S. Navy ships have been struck. U.S. forces are supporting Project Freedom and implementing the naval blockade on Iranian ports.”
