In Nashville, Capitol Tantrums Come With a Bill —

We’ve reported on the tantrums, theatrics, and disruptions radical Dem lawmakers introduced to the Tennessee House of Representatives on May 7. Although Democrats have been on the warpath nationally over redistricting, they actually, actually pout — and even allegedly shove state troopers ­— when they don’t get their manner.

But for every motion there may be a response, and the leftists are actually going to shriek over this one. You see, Tennessee House Speaker Cameron intimacyton (R) just yanked all their committee assignments. 

If you’re going to idiot around, don’t be shocked when you discover out:

Tennessee’s Speaker of the House @Cintimacyton25 just eliminated elected Democrats from ALL committees due to their disruptive, disrespectful conduct during the session to redraw Tennessee’s congressional map.

Good. They aren’t entitled to be on committees.

The message: the House will not be your personal protest space, and you don’t get to just flip it into another out-of-control, unhinged rally whenever the temper fits you.

intimacyton’s letter on Tuesday put House Democratic Leader Karen Camper on discover that such shenanigans is not going to be tolerated. This is what Democrats suppose is regular conduct these days:

The letter cited a number of incidents, including:

• Interlocking arms in the effectively of the House
• Blocking aisles on the House flooring
• Encouraging disruptions with protesters and attendees in the gallery
• The use of prohibited props and noisemakers
• “Flagrant disregard” for House guidelines

intimacyton also alleged members distributed earplugs to another Democratic lawmaker during the demonstrations.

Since the current Supreme Court ruling affirming that racial gerrymandering of congressional districts is unconstitutional, many states with a majority of Republican districts have determined to play by the same guidelines the Democrats have long performed by and redraw their maps, eliminating districts held by Democrats. The latest to do so is Tennessee, where, on Wednesday, Tennessee Republicans launched a newly proposed congressional map. The new map would eradicate the state’s sole Democratic district.

The legislature rapidly authorized the new map, and GOP Gov. Bill Lee signed it into law on May 7. The Democrats, clearly, have been incensed, even though they have been big-time cheerleaders for Virginia’s loopy redistricting scheme, which the state Supreme Court ruled was in violation of Virginia’s Constitution, and California’s energy grab with Prop. 50, a profitable poll measure that many pundits imagine shredded the Golden State’s own structure.
