JD Vance rally interrupted for medical emergency | Political News

Vice President JD Vance visited Maine on Thursday to make the case for the Trump administration forward of the state’s main elections for a number of races.

Vance, who heads the Trump administration’s anti-fraud job power, underscored the administration’s efforts to fight fraud during the event at Bangor International Airport. Toward the end of his remarks, the rally was interrupted when an attendee needed medical consideration.

The vice president was in the center of making his closing remarks when he seen that one thing was off. “Guys, do we have somebody over here who’s got an issue? Okay, let’s get a doctor in here,” the vice president requested.

“Sounds like we got somebody who maybe fainted,” Vance added before asking attendees to clear a path for a doctor. “We okay? We’re good? You got care? Okay, sounds good. Well, look, I want to be respectful, so I’m not going to answer any more questions here.”

“I’m going to let this person get the treatment and the care that she needs,” added Vance before including that he wished to say “two quick words.” He said “Number one, let’s all say a prayer for our friend here and make sure that God looks after him or her, looks after her health.”

“Number two, what I’d say is it is the coolest job that I’ve ever had to be the vice president of this great country,” he added. “It’s the coolest thing to be able to come here in the beautiful state of Maine in the beautiful month of May and to be able to spend some time with you.”

“Let me just say that this job has given me more confidence than ever that this country, its best days are ahead of it,” Vance continued. “As much as I am sometimes frustrated by Washington, D.C., as much as I’m sometimes frustrated by the politicians who seem to care more about illegal aliens than they do the citizens of this country and the citizens of this state, what I have learned over the last 18 months is that we have the most talented, the most compassionate, and the toughest people anywhere in the world.”

Vance concluded his remarks by stating that America was “the best country” and would stay “the best country for many years to come.” The vice president’s speech comes as the Maine GOP is zeroed in on reclaiming the 2nd Congressional District Seat after Democratic Rep. Jared Golden announced he wouldn’t be looking for reelection to the seat

This will not be the first time that somebody has needed medical consideration at a rally hosted by either President Trump or Vance. In March, an aged girl fainted as the president was delivering remarks in Kentucky.

Trump was in the center of making remarks in Kentucky after making a stop at a packaging facility in Hebron, about 95 miles from Louisville. In the background, an aged girl will be seen feeling unwell and ultimately passes out.

Concerned bystanders yelled at Trump that she needed a medic, and the president paused his speech for a few minutes as she was being attended to by EMTs and even Trump’s Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Dr. Oz. In Kentucky, the president turned to see the commotion in the gang and called for “a doctor in the house.”

As the girl was being handled by medics and attendees, Trump told everybody to “take their time.” During the prolonged break, Trump tried to entertain the gang by asking if he ought to play a music.

“Do you think the people backstage are listening to me?” Trump tried to joke. That’s when he advised taking part in Ave Maria.
