Dancing With the Stars might get a One Tree Hill alum on the show’s upcoming season–but only if his followers pull through with his one condition.
The ABC show is working to assemble a forged for season 35 of the dancing competitors sequence and will announce the full lineup on Good Morning America in September, after revealing the first three opponents.
And while some followers suppose they already know who will win, others are attempting to persuade their favourite celebrities to signal up for the show.
One such superstar who was initially questioned about it and expressed hesitancy–but has since thrown his hat in the ring–is former One Tree Hill star, James Lafferty.
Lafferty, 40, took to social media as the frenzy began over his potential potential to be part of the show.

Lafferty, who is at present selling the second season of his Netflix show Everyone is Doing Great, which he stars in reverse fellow OTH alum Stephen Colletti and real-life spouse Alexandra Park, took to TikTok to reply fan questions, including the likelihood of doing the ABC show.
“It’s a good question. Look, I think me going on Dancing With the Stars would be valuable, not so much for the competition aspect, but for the comedy aspect,” he said, before admitting that he felt it was a great arc for his show character on a third season.
“I think Jeremy should go on Dancing With the Stars. I think everybody would get the most out of that experience if you catch my drift.
Because, yeah, I’m sure alot of you have seen me dance before on One Tree Hill, maybe there’s a little bit in season two of everyone is doing great. It wouldn’t go well for me, but it would definitely be entertaining for Jeremy.”

His video wound up catching the eye of professional dancer Ezra Sosa, who then commented on it, writing, “he’s hot, I’m down.”
Lafferty then took to TikTok a second time, revealing he had modified his thoughts and would do the show–but only if his followers pulled through with getting the second season of his show into the Netflix Top 10.
“Thank you Ezra, you’re very kind,” he said in response to Sosa’s remark. “And you’re not so bad yourself.”
“More to the point, I’ve been thinking a lot about it, and I’m going to do it. Yeah, I’m going to do Dancing With the Stars, I’m down,” he continued.
“I have no condition that everyone is doing great makes the top 10 on tv shows on Netflix in the US, that’s my condition. I will come and do Dancing With the Stars and be happy to do Dancing With the Stars if Everyone is Doing Great cracks the top 10 TV shows in the US on Netflix.”

He then admitted he needed to see it occur because he truly had other motivations for doing the show.
“I want both things to happen,” he said about both his followers getting the show into the top 10 and doing DWTS. “Because I am a terrible dancer, and I always wanted to fix that. And I think Ezra can help me. I think everybody wins here.”
If he have been to do Dancing With the Stars, he could be the show’s third alum to take part.
Maria Menuonos, who had a visitor arc on the show’s second season as Jules/Emily Chambers, appeared on the show’s 14th season, where she positioned fourth alongside Derek Hough.

The second was Jana Kramer, who portrayed Alex Dupree for seasons 7-9 of the show.
She also positioned fourth, alongside her associate, Gleb Savchenko.
