Why Stephen Colbert made no mention of Donald | TV Shows

Stephen Colbert has bid his last farewell to The Late Show, with this system axed after 33 years on the air.

The discuss show host signed off with his last episode on Thursday, May 21, after it was controversially axed last 12 months. What got here as a shock to viewers was that he made no mention of President Donald Trump in the last ever broadcast, despite his suspected involvement in the choice to cut the show by CBS, even though the community claimed it was purely a financial choice.

“As a nation, the public has clocked Trump’s pattern of emotional retaliatory outbursts and actions following the slightest of critiques from both the entertainment world and the general public at large, so it is plausible that Colbert could have had that in mind as one reason.

“It is much more believable to assume that Colbert, the skilled entertainer that he’s, needed to exit on a celebratory high notice and maybe keep away from and/or reduce any legal ramifications from the community, and/or also halt the chance for Trump to create additional reactive media headlines.”

He then shared another plausible option as to why Colbert might have ignored President Trump’s existence. He said, “It may also be as simple as Colbert has already completed that work. For many years, Stephen Colbert and his total workers at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert have persistently entertained audiences by spectacularly holding Trump’s ft to the fire.”

Dylan concluded, “Last night time was not Trump’s second; it was The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s. Many of us in the leisure business admire Colbert for his expertise and professionalism, as he rose to the event last night.”

Colbert delivered an action-packed final show, with a number of huge guests including Sir Paul McCartney. Actors including Bryan Cranston, Paul Rudd, Tim Meadows and Ryan Reynolds also all appeared.

Meanwhile, other late-night hosts, including Jon Stewart, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers and John Oliver, all made cameo segments paying tribute to Colbert and the end of the franchise. During a moment from the show, Colbert spoke out about the issue of music licensing.

“Peanuts is a highly effective model and corperation in and of itself,” Colbert said during the segment. The comment came as his studio band began playing a familiar tune from the popular cartoon.

Colbert continued, “Anyone illegally utilizing that music is gonna have to pay through the nostril–,” The band then started playing the song. To which Colbert responded, “Is that band still enjoying the same Peanuts tune that I just said people are being sued for?”

“Oh no! I hope this does not price CBS any money!” Colbert sarcastically concluded. Viewers had been left in hysterics over the second.
