Trump ally labeled moron over anti-weaponization | TV Shows

Senator Tommy Tuberville confronted backlash from conservatives over his help of President Donald Trump’s $1.776 billion Anti-Weaponization fund.

During the Fox News broadcast of The Big Weekend Show on May 23, Tuberville, 71, boasted about the advantages of Trump‘s compensation fund. The fund would compensate people who believed politicized federal investigations under the Biden administration unfairly focused them. Critics have pushed back against the fund, arguing that the January sixth rioters haven’t been exempted from the payout.

Co-host Kevin Corke initially requested, “I do understand this might not be the right strategy to do that. Can you understand why they might have that question?”

Tuberville then answered, “First of all, the argument was, with Attorney General Todd Blanche and with the senators, we do not want to compensate people that laid a hand on a policeman or law enforcement officer.”

“He said this is not going to happen. We are only going to compensate people who were wrongly denied access to a lawyer,” the senator closed.

Viewers took to social media to slam Tuberville’s feedback, arguing that the January sixth rioters had all acquired a truthful trial and they have been still all discovered guilty.

One individual fumed, “This guy is an absolute moron! Quit letting him speak! F—ing a–hole!”

Another individual added, “Absolutely no one was denied a lawyer. Piece of s— n–job. So Republicans don’t want to compensate those who laid hands on police officers, but were perfectly okay with Trump pardoning those same exact people who pled to or were found guilty of that same crime?”

A 3rd wrote, “Who was denied access to a lawyer, Tuberville? These people all went to trial. Are you saying they all were forced to defend themselves?”

Despite the criticism, Tuberville did have a supporter who agreed with his statements and shared, “To the Democrat prosecutors. You all can go straight to hell.”

“I gave up a lot of money in allowing the just announced Anti-Weaponization Fund to go forward. I could have settled my case, including the illegal release of my Tax Returns and the equally illegal break-in of Mar-a-Lago, for an absolute fortune,” Trump wrote.

“Instead, I am helping others, who were so badly abused by an evil, corrupt, and weaponized Biden Administration, receive, at long last, JUSTICE!” he closed.
