Nicola Sturgeon savaged on Jeremy Vine Show after car | UK News
Nicola Sturgeon was torn aside on The Jeremy Vine Show today (June 1) after her car crash Laura Kuenssberg interview yesterday (May 31). Vine was presenting his Channel 5 show and welcomed caller Kevin from Dunbartonshire – until a conflict broke out between two of his panelists in the live studio.
Vine requested Kevin merely: “Do we believe Nicola Sturgeon?”, for the caller to reply: “No! She stood outside that property getting interviewed with a Jaguar in the drive! Did she not see it? Did she not see it when she was having her flying lessons? Why would a man that’s bald buy two hairdryers?” Vine chimed in: “For £600, by the way, which is an expensive pair of… Maybe to do his hair from both sides.”
Kevin was having none of it as he repeated: “If you’re bald, you don’t need a hairdryer.”
But panelist Nina Myskow was eager to defend the previous SNP chief, interjecting: “Can I say to you, Kevin, I understand that – everyone’s had a good laugh puzzling over why you would need £4000 salt and pepper, all of those things.
“But don’t you think that if anyone could afford a Jaguar car, it would be the chief executive of the SNP? Why would somebody question that? As a woman, those were not crocodile tears.”
Her co-star Emily Hewertson was left fuming as she interrupted: “Oh, stop going, ‘as a woman’. I’m a woman. I think it’s ridiculous. I didn’t find her interview sincere at all.
“She was the leader of a major political party and you’re telling me she had no idea about finances? It’s a joke!”
Another said: “Sturgeon saying she didn’t see a huge motorhome while visiting her in-laws and it wasn’t talked about by anybody in the household. Aye okay.”
