Savannah Guthrie shared with Jenna Bush Hager the challenges of resuming her duties at the TODAY Show while her 84-year-old mom, Nancy Guthrie, stays lacking.

Nancy was declared lacking on February 1, and authorities suspect she was taken from her Tucson, Arizona, residence after discovering indicators of a violent altercation. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has joined forces with the FBI in the continued search for Nancy, though her location stays undetermined. Savannah returned to the TODAY Show on April 6, following her time away during her mom’s disappearance.

A clearly moved Jenna, 45, counseled her colleague and longtime good friend for her ‘strength’ after coming back as co-host of the favored morning show following her time off, studies the Irish Star.

The seasoned TODAY Show host revealed that she cries “every morning on the way to work” and “every morning on the way home.”

“You know, it’s really hard to come back,” Savannah said tearfully. “I’ve been trying so hard to hold it together, and I promise I will, but this show, and this hour especially, is about joy.”

She continued, “When I see you in the morning, I know you see me, no matter what is going on. And sometimes that’s almost too much because I feel like to do the job I gotta keep it together, pull it together. But I’m happy to be back.”

The tv host explained, “It’s like the two hours of my day – it’s not that I’m not thinking about it, because I am, but it’s something to do, and it brings me a lot of joy to be with everybody. But, no, it’s not easy. It’s always with me.”

Responding to viewers questions about sustaining her common broadcasting schedule amid her mom’s disappearance, Savannah clarified, “I know maybe people wonder, ‘Whoa, what’s going on? How’s she able to do that job? Is she not thinking about it? Did she forget?’ No, never. Never.”

She emphasised, “We still need everybody’s prayers. I wish someone would call and say what they know and tell the truth.”

Just before Monday morning’s broadcast alongside Jenna, Savannah posted what appeared like a church ceiling portray to her Instagram story.

Accompanying the image with lyrics “Oh my, my soul it cries out, soul, it cries out” she included a heartfelt message directed at those holding her mom, pleading “Bring her home” alongside a yellow coronary heart emoji.
