Self-proclaimed democratic socialist NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani—who just scored himself free, exclusive, high-value tickets to a number of World Cup matches—was caught lounging in a luxurious suite alongside New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) at the Brazil vs. Morocco opener.

Judging by the images posted on social media, the dynamic duo is having fun with some champagne-adjacent perks as they sit aloft in the high-priced bins. Looking down on the plebeians below.

According to a New York Post exposé, Mamdani’s workplace confirmed he acquired the premium tickets to the sport for free as half of a obscure “contractual obligation” with the World Cup Host Committee.
