The View: Whoopi Goldberg believes in aliens

The View’s Sunny Hostin clapped back at President Donald Trump’s actions after a derogatory slur was made about Michelle Obama at the current UFC Freedom 250 match.

During the Monday, June 15, episode of The View, the co-hosts could not help but gush about the New York Knicks’ current victory over the San Antonio Spurs during the ultimate sport of the NBA Finals on Saturday, June 13. Despite all of the thrill, Hostin addressed UFC fighter Josh Hokit’s “racist and sexist” comment about the previous First Lady, 62.

After Hokit, 28, gained his match against fellow heavyweight Derrick Lewis in the free event, held on the White House’s South Lawn, he called Michelle “a man.” Hostin slammed Trump, who attended with most of his household and 5,000 visitors, for not addressing the slur.

Once the co-hosts praised the Knicks’ win, Whoopi Goldberg tried to broach the other sporting event, which came about on Trump’s birthday, Sunday, June 14.

“In other sports news, last night You-Know-Who celebrated his 80th birthday at an event billed as UFC Freedom 250, featuring cage matches on the South Lawn of the White House,” the comic started.

She continued, “White House denies accusations that he’s cashing in on the events, saying there’s no conflict of interest because You-Know-Who’s assets are in a trust managed by his kids.”

Goldberg added, “There was also one fighter who used his victory speech to make a derogatory slur against former First Lady Michelle Obama,” before saying, “Pfft,” and asking her fellow co-hosts what they make of the event.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, who was Trump’s assistant in 2020, joked, “Can’t we focus on the Knicks? I’ve been a diehard fan for three whole weeks.” Goldberg added that the crew “has worked their butts off.”

Sara Haines talked about that the crew has shown exceptional sportsmanship, and Hostin added that they have been gents before unleashing on Hokit and Trump.

“They’re gentleman,” Hostin said, before including, “I do want to address the derogatory slur made about the former First Lady Michelle Obama because I think it’s important to address, and we won’t dignify what was said by repeating it, but you should look it up.

“And I feel the explanation that it is important is because for a long time, and the roots are in slavery, Black girls have been slurred and made to really feel that they have been unattractive, made to really feel that they have been masculine, made to really feel that they have been – they did not have the femininity that a white lady would have.

“And so, there’s this intersectionality between racism and sexism that was on full display at the White House. The crowd laughed at the statement, and the president of the United States smirked, and never addressed what was said.”

She concluded, “That is beneath the dignity of the office of the president of the United States and it’s beneath the dignity of the American people.”

Ana Navarro then added that she didn’t watch “one second” of the match because it doesn’t have fun America’s 250th and doesn’t signify America’s “best values.”

After his match against Lewis, Hokit gave an interview to Joe Rogan, at the end of which he said, “Michelle Obama is a man. Am I right, America?”

In videos posted online, some in the gang could possibly be heard laughing, while others appeared shocked by the feedback. Rogan didn’t handle the comment, only saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, Josh Hokit.”

In addition to Trump and his spouse, Melania, others who attended the UFC struggle included UFC CEO Dana White, Ari Emanuel, CEO and govt chairman of TKO Group Holdings, which owns the UFC; comedians Shane Gillis and Tony Hinchcliffe; Vice President JD Vance; Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg; Ivanka Trump; nation singer Alexis Wilkins, Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek; and boxer Tyson Fury.

Don Jr. and Bettina Trump, who just returned from their honeymoon, made their first official look as a married couple at the event.

Meanwhile, Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, as effectively as Eric and Lara Trump, attended. The dome-and-arch construction, called “The Claw,” and tons of bleachers have been constructed to accommodate 5,000 particular visitors and members of the navy.

However, it was revealed last month that Dana White, the CEO of UFC, faces a whopping $700,000 invoice to restore the South Lawn grass for the event.

To accommodate the 5,000-seat venue and “The Claw,” reviews indicated that the South Lawn had to be “flattened,” inflicting vital injury to the grass.

Speaking to Sports Business Journal last October, White admitted that repairing the injury from the momentary set up will require a substantial financial outlay. “There is no doubt about it, this is going to be the most challenging event we have ever done,” he said at the time.

“I’m coming off a stadium event, which I don’t like stadiums, to the thing that I hate the most in outdoor events,” he added. “So yes, we got through the Sphere, made it through (the Canelo Alvarez-Terence Crawford boxing match at) Allegiant (Stadium); now we head into Washington, D.C., on the White House lawn.”
