Mediators between Iran and the U.S. are reportedly discussing shifting the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding up from Friday to as early as Wednesday.
According to a diplomat from one of the mediating classes, the MOU can be signed electronically, with the half regarding the Strait of Hormuz taking impact as soon as attainable. According to the diplomat, the timetable is being adjusted due to both sides agreeing on the issue.
Another purpose, a second source hypothesized, was the ever-increasing stress from the White House to release the full textual content of the MOU to the public. One source claimed that Iran refused to permit the full textual content to be revealed until it was signed, and denied that it was being pressured by the White House.
