Child actor Daveigh Chase has sadly died at the age of just 35 after battling meningitis, her associate has confirmed. Roy Hernandez confirmed to GWN that Daveigh died on June 16 after battling both meningitis and a blood infection that causes sepsis. She was best identified as the voice of Lilo in Disney cartoon Lilo and Stitch, as properly as Chihiro Ogino in Spirited Away. She also appeared in every thing from The Ring to Donnie Darko.
On a GoFundMe marketing campaign to raise money for her medical payments before her death, Daveigh’s boyfriend wrote: “Daveigh Chase, my girlfriend, has always been a light in my life. Many people know her as a talented childhood actor fromLilo & Stitch, Spirited Away and Donnie Darko, but behind the scenes, she’s faced more than her share of hardship.
“After a troublesome childhood and a painful falling out with her household, Daveigh was bullied and struggled to discover security and happiness in downtown L.A. When we met, I promised to defend her and give her the love and consolation she deserved. Together, we discovered moments of happiness and hope.”
He added: “Her condition has become critical, and the doctors have told me she may not have much time left
“All she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe and be happy. Now, more than ever, I want to give her that sense of home and peace in her final days.”
