I thought Bill Shaikin’s column on the Dodgers ruining baseball was good and provocative. For me, I don’t consider the Dodgers are ruining baseball, but sports activities are a lot more enjoyable and compelling to watch when they’re aggressive and each recreation means more.
It is less complicated to maintain competitiveness when one group or a few groups shouldn’t have a large financial edge over other groups. I feel the NFL, NBA, and NHL have been better at dealing with this issue than baseball.
