Jelly Roll is doing great despite divorce from Bunnie | Music News

Jelly Roll’s mates Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney revealed that the rapper is “doing great” amid his divorce from Bunnie Xo. The nation singer, 41, not too long ago filed for divorce from his spouse, Bunnie XO, also identified as Alisa DeFord, in Tennessee after 10 years of marriage.

The couple’s breakup had been stored non-public as a household matter until current studies emerged. The Grammy-winning artist initially crossed paths with his spouse in 2015, years before attaining mainstream success in music.

“I saw him the other night, actually. Yeah, I ran into him,” Smyers said. “He was great. We didn’t really get into it, but I’m happy for him.” Recently, the rapper has also been vocal about his fitness journey.

Smyers additional praised the nation star’s social media post that mirrored on his weight loss. “The post he did was amazing,” he said. “I was like, ‘D—, that’s my guy.’ It was cool.”

Mooney added that both the rapper and Bunnie Xo had dealt with the divorce “with class.”

“It’s a robust factor to go through very, very publicly,” he told Page Six at Tuesday evening’s event, hosted by Tight End University alongside Sports Illustrated.

“I mean, as married guys, if we had to go through something like that that publicly, it’s really tough on both parties and they’ve both handled it well,” Mooney said. “We want the best for both of them. They’re great.”

The pair faced plenty of bumps along the way during their time together. They exchanged vows in August 2016.

Approximately one week before their wedding ceremony, Jelly Roll reportedly fathered a son with another woman. Meanwhile, he had no children with Bunnie Xo. The couple, however, tried IVF and shared their journey with fans prior to their separation.

The rapper also addressed issues about his divorce mid-concert on June 18 in New York.

“This is the only time and the only city I’m gonna speak about this, so break your camera phones out now,” he told the audience. “Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends,” he continued, adding that Bunnie will “probably be the only woman I will ever love the way I loved her” and highlighted that “nobody cheated on nobody.”

Jelly Roll is also currently dealing with problems related to his touring schedule. On June 2, Post Malone delivered unwelcome news to supporters when Jelly Roll was suddenly removed from their joint tour six performances in.

Malone used his Instagram Stories to inform his audience of the difficult decision to remove dates from his Big A– Stadium Tour Part 2 with Jelly Roll. The six canceled stadium appearances encompassed El Paso, Waco, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Tampa, and Oxford.

Jelly Roll will also no longer be headlining Kid Rock’s forthcoming Rock the Country music competition in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on June 28.
