The much-awaited multi-starrer comedian caper, Welcome To The Jungle, will release this Friday, on June 26. The censor course of was accomplished on time and in this article, Bollywood Hungama will completely focus on the cuts given to the movie.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) handed Welcome To The Jungle with a U/A 16+ dialogue. However, the makers have been requested to make a number of adjustments. The dialogue ‘Kaala paida hua hai, koyla hai’ was changed with ‘saadah paida hua hai, namoona hua hai’. A ten-second scene containing the phrases ‘na diya’ was requested to be deleted. The phrase ‘screwed’ was changed with a appropriate phrase in two locations. Similarly, the phrase ‘Azarudden’ was changed with ‘Allaudin’.
A dialogue mentioning ‘Paani of Kashmir’ was requested to be deleted. The dialogue ‘Yaad karo kurbani, munh mein bhar lo paani’ was changed with ‘Jo shaheed hone ja raha tha, uske munh mein bhar lo paani’. ‘Aandha’ was changed with ‘dheela’ while the dialogue ‘desh ki tatti’ was requested to be deleted. Then, ‘Izzat le lo’ was changed with ‘Yeh aapke saath jaane ko…’, ‘Gorkha Regiment’ was changed with ‘Tum army se ho?’. ‘General’ was eliminated and changed with ‘Officer’ and ‘Sir’ wherever it occurred in the movie.
Now, coming to the visible deletions. The cut record says that the makers ‘deleted and replaced sensual bikini visuals, close-up of woman hip passing visuals and hip movement visuals in the song wherever they occurred’. At one level, it particularly mentions that sensual visuals of Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez have been deleted. Lastly, the ‘vulgar’ hand gesture visuals have been changed with a close-up shot of Vindu Dara Singh.
In short, the CBFC requested for 14 adjustments. Once these modifications have been completed, the makers of Welcome To The Jungle have been handed the censor certificates on June 20. The size of the movie, as talked about on the censor certificates, is 164.50 minutes. In other phrases, Welcome To The Jungle is 2 hours, 44 minutes and 50 seconds long.
