Barstool Sports creator Dave Portnoy revealed during his look on the Fox News Show Jesse Watters Primetime on Monday, June 29, that he is been motivated to run for workplace.
While talking with host Jesse Watters, 47, Dave, 49, mentioned why he’d enter politics and depart the snug lifestyle he is constructed as a profitable entrepreneur.
“We need leaders to stand up…depending on what day you catch me…sometimes I do feel like it’s my duty,” Dave explained on-air during Jesse’s Fox News program. “I can’t turn away. I feel like I could make a change. Maybe I do run in politics…I spend a lot of my day losing my mind on what’s happening right now, especially in New York…”
Jesse then requested if he’d have an interest in working against the newly appointed New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani in the 2029 mayoral election.
“I’d love to run against Mamadani. If I was gonna run it be here,” Dave confirmed, explaining that he’d be open to working for New York City Mayor.
Now, Dave admitted he wasn’t sure he’d be elected if he ran for political workplace in New York City, claiming the dearth of votes would be because some New Yorkers did not have “common sense.”
Dave isn’t one to chew his tongue, even if it outcomes in him getting a lot of backlash online. The viral pizza reviewer discovered himself on the receiving end of a lot criticism after he complained about President Donald Trump‘s White House UFC event this month.
After combat night time on Sunday, June 14, Dave ranted on X, previously identified as Twitter, the next Monday, saying he could not consider the outcomes he woke up to and questioning why the UFC event was scheduled so late on a weekend.
Dave was hit with an inflow of replies trying to reply his query, with some saying the delay was because of the climate and others explaining that the event also coincided with Trump’s eightieth birthday that day.
“It was delayed because of weather,” one reply shared, and another added, “They did try dummy. But weather moved in.”
Dave’s initial X post that prompted so a lot uproar on social media read, “I can’t believe all these UFC results I’m waking up to. Why’d they do it so late on a school night.”
Following the mass scrutiny that got here after, Dave seemingly started backtracking as he wrote in a second X post, “Lots of people taking the school night literally. So I’ll dumb it down. It sucked this was Sunday night instead of Sat and I think main event ended at 1am and 99% of country wake up to work on Monday. It was an awesome event though. Start it at 7pm if you want it on Sunday.”
