A Fox News host claimed Taylor Swift has turned to the patriarchy after marrying Travis Kelce.

During a dialogue on Laura Ingraham’s show, political commentator Tomi Lahren, 33, said the pop star, 36, has “leveled up” by selecting the NFL participant, also 36, as her life associate.

Tomi said that throughout her profession, Taylor has often sung “about getting broken up with and being dumped,” but issues appeared to change when she met Travis.

“Somebody who sang pretty much her entire career about getting broken up with and being dumped, at one point talking about ‘done with the patriarchy,’ and now she’s marrying a football player that was born in Ohio,” Tomi said on the show.

The host added, “So I think that she has found her American dream and, you know, she’s got those traditional values that, I think, she has always wanted.”

She continued by saying that Taylor is “a great role model for young girls” because “her music is mostly clean, she conducts herself well, she donates to charity.”

Tomi, who serves as a co-host on The Big Weekend Show, continued, “And now she’s got a football player for a husband. Some of her past boyfriends wore dresses, Laura, so I think she’s found her prince charming and she’s leveled up.”

Taylor famously introduced the phrase “f–k. the patriarchy” into mainstream popular culture in her 2021 fan-favorite observe All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version).

The lyric references a relationship dynamic where a associate tries to dismiss or “take down” patriarchal constructions while concurrently exhibiting them.

It sparked widespread discussions among followers and critics about how systemic sexism infiltrates personal relationships.

However, Tomi’s feedback did not go down nicely with Fox News viewers, as many criticized her for bringing patriarchy into the dialogue.

An individual wrote on X, “When did Taylor swift date a guy who wore dresses? Is she referring to Harry styles doing an editorial in a dress almost a decade after he and Taylor dated?”

Another tweeted, “None of those have to do with the patriarchy. Tomi is such a bimbo.”

“Why are these pathetic souls @TomiLahren & @IngrahamAngle even discussing her? Anything that brings joy to many just makes these Fox hags so angry, friggin weird,” a third posted.

Someone else added, “The left thinks she’s a feminist icon. The right thinks she’s embracing traditional values. She’s probably just in love.”

“Tomi. You said their dating was just for publicity,” one more identified.

Taylor and Travis tied the knot in entrance of their associates and households at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3.

Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, which both delighted and confused those who had been guessing who would have the high honor.

Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her man of honor while Travis’ brother and podcast co-host Jason Kelce served as the groom’s best man.
