The 83-year-old then went on to describe how Graham “acquired a level of knowledge by visiting these countries year after year.
“It’s a terrible loss for the nation as nicely as for Lindsey’s personal buddies,” Gingrich added, “but I can not overstate: he was always optimistic, he was always constructive, he was always [on the offensive,] attempting to get one thing achieved, but it is just onerous to think about a world without Lindsey Graham.”

Gingrich further noted that the president himself would feel the loss most acutely, as the South Carolina senator had been one of Donald Trump‘s most important allies.
Graham was widely regarded as a pivotal figure in U.S.-Israel relations, with concerns already mounting over the future of that diplomatic bond.
“I believe that there’s a critical vacuum that he’ll go away behind. And he crammed a big space,” Gingrich remarked, referencing Graham’s extensive diplomatic role with Israel.
The former Speaker went on to describe how Donald Trump would be personally affected by the loss of a close friend with whom he regularly enjoyed a round of golf, telling Fox News, “Think of President Trump, who I suspect has golfed with Lindsey 50 or 100 occasions, and discovered Lindsey to be somebody he might discuss with, somebody he might calm down with, his real personal buddy. This is a great loss.”
In the wake of Graham’s passing, Trump took to Truth Social to pay tribute, releasing a statement that read, “Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the best people and Senators I’ve ever recognized, is lifeless! He was always working, and was a true American Patriot. Lindsey will probably be drastically missed! ! ! DETAILS AND ARRANGEMENTS TO FOLLOW. So unhappy!” Graham’s death comes as Eric Trump by accident let it slip that his father doubtless didn’t win the 2020 election.
