An Antiques Roadshow guest was left speechless following the valuation of a rare merchandise. The guest came upon that he may pocket 1000’s but he said he has no plans on promoting the collectible. During Sunday’s (July 13) episode of the BBC hit show, which initially aired in 2023, skilled Hilary Kay was excited after the guest introduced in sporting memorabilia from racing legend, Lewis Hamilton.
The objects included a VIP move to an event and a helmet and overalls truly worn by Hamilton himself, during a meet-and-greet event in 2008. For those unfamiliar with F1, 2008 marked the 12 months Lewis secured his maiden world championship title, making it significantly important.
Alongside Lewis’ tools, the guest offered a lanyard and VIP move from that memorable day, as he had been too younger to attend himself.
Fortunately, his father managed to receive these particular keepsakes, that are now in his possession.
The guest, who was not named, was left gobsmasked after Hilary Kay informed him that your entire assortment may fetch up to £10,000 at public sale, ought to he select to promote.
Understandably, he appeared shocked by the valuation. “Wow, that’s a lot more than I expected,” he finally responded.
Hilary replied: “The great thing is, your dad has passed his enthusiasm on to you. You are going to look after this collection and hopefully you are going to add to it.”
