Packers great Ahman Green reveals Parkinsons…
Former Packers working back Ahman Green said Wednesday that he’s been recognized with Parkinson’s disease.
The 49-year-old, who is the Packers’ all-time speeding chief, announced the news on the “Go Long” podcast with Tyler Dunne while discussing his post-playing profession and healthy lifestyle efforts.
“Last year, I got diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s,” Green said. “I had a little bit of the feet twitching when I’m in my sleep and stuff like that.”
“I knew something was going on long before that. I just got a hold of some doctors that I was able to get in contact with. Get the diagnostics, get the testing. And finally got it tested last — it was January of 2025.”

While Green has had the disease for 18 months, he selected to keep the news within his interior circle.
“I didn’t share it for a long time because I wanted to let my kids know, my family,” Green said. “I let them all know first before I told friends, family, somebody like yourself.”
To fight symptoms of Parkinson’s, Green said he’s centered on exercising, eating healthy and taking medication.
He added that he was also experiencing short-term reminiscence loss and strolling and speaking in his sleep.
Green said his spouse told him that’s been twitching in his sleep since shortly after he retired in 2009.
Still, Green stays optimistic about his outlook and advocates for awareness and early diagnosis of the disease.

“It needs to be up front,” Green said. “It needs to be a topic that’s always hit. And it’s not the end all.”
“To me, I have a jump ahead of it. Just like anybody discovering that they have some type of cancer in their body, I’m ahead of it right now.”
Across eight seasons with the Packers, Green had 1,000-plus speeding yards six instances, including a career-high 1,883 in 2003. The four-time Pro Bowler also spent time with the Seahawks and Texans.
Green completed his 12-year profession with 9,205 yards speeding and 60 touchdowns.
