Viewers will recall that in 2025 Joe devised a scheme to have Caleb attacked and his kidney taken. At the time, Joe was battling kidney disease. Although his plot proved profitable, Caleb found the reality and retaliated by attacking Joe.

Prior to this, Joe was accountable for the Valentine’s limo crash that claimed three lives, after he spiked Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) in a bid to take his kidney.
