Chicago acquired two-time All-Star Luis Castillo from the Mariners in exchange for reliever Seranthony DomÃnguez, outfielder Nolan Jones and prospect Boston Smith, The Post’s Joel Sherman and Jon Heyman confirmed Saturday.

Castillo, who completed fifth in voting for the Cy Young Award in 2023, has struggled to start the 2026 season, amassing a 5.06 ERA and pitching to a 3-9 report across 20 begins.
But the potential is there, and he’ll add to a Chicago pitching workers that sits with the No. 16 rotation in MLB for ERA at 4.29, according to FanGraphs.

The White Sox will also take on the remaining money for Castillo’s contract, according to ESPN.
Castillo also set to make $22.75 million next season with a vesting option for 2028 if he throws 180 innings in 2027.
DomÃnguez has appeared in 43 video games this season, amassing a 3.99 ERA, and will be part of a Mariners group that sits 4 video games under .500 (54-58) but just 2 ½ video games back in the AL West.
