One of Jerry Springer’s company was killed in a brutal murder weeks after taping her episode.

In May 2000, Nancy Campbell-Panitz, her ex-husband Ralf Panitz, and his new spouse, Eleanor, taped an episode of the show titled “Secret Mistresses Confronted!” During the section, Ralf and Eleanor publicly humiliated Nancy, calling her “old” and “fat” and falsely accusing her of stalking them. Nancy ultimately walked off the stage.

Despite the on-stage toxicity, Ralf and Eleanor truly moved into Nancy’s home in Sarasota, Florida, after the taping. This comes as the Express US delved into Jerry Springer’s feud with Oprah.

On July 24, 2000, the day the episode aired, Nancy efficiently obtained a home violence restraining order to evict the couple. A deputy then got here to the home and evicted Ralf, Eleanor, and Ralf’s nephew, Markus, from the property.

Following the eviction, Ralf, Eleanor, and Markus went to a local sports activities bar, Keegan’s Clubhouse Lounge, to watch the airing of their episode on The Jerry Springer Show.

According to witnesses, watching the broadcast mixed with the eviction made Ralf more and more intoxicated and visibly enraged.

Ralf and his household returned to the home later to collect more belongings. However, when Nancy confirmed up, Ralf slipped away.

Markus later tried to enter the home but discovered the entrance door barricaded. Sensing hazard, he called emergency companies. Officers arrived to discover Nancy useless on her kitchen flooring.

Nancy had been attacked by Ralf, who brutally choked and beat her to death. The assault was exceptionally violent, with the prosecution noting that Nancy had damaged nearly every bone in her face. A sheriff’s deputy also testified that her face was so badly disfigured that she was utterly unrecognizable.

Despite the protection claiming a lack of bodily evidence, forensic investigators discovered Nancy’s DNA beneath Ralf’s fingernails and bloody footprints throughout the kitchen that completely matched the sneakers Ralf was carrying.

Moreover, Ralf’s attorney alleged that Nancy had not been murdered at all, but slightly had suffered a deadly coronary heart assault introduced on by stress during a struggle with another person.

He then tried to shift the blame onto Markus. However, he was unsuccessful, and Ralf was convicted of second-degree murder in March 2002.

After Nancy’s horrifying murder, it was alleged that when Nancy stormed off stage during taping, she was told by producers that they would not pay for her return flight to Florida if she did not get back on stage.

Additionally, according to Nancy’s son, Jeffrey Campbell, the show’s producers misled Nancy into pondering she was flying to Chicago to reconcile with Ralf. She was told the show had paid for Ralf’s journey back from Germany to shock her, unaware that he was already secretly married to his new spouse, Eleanor, and that they have been setting her up for an on-camera ambush.

Jeffrey also failed a wrongful death lawsuit against the show, which ended with the household dropping the lawsuit without any compensation. The Jerry Springer Show denied all allegations made against it.
