Ohio Rep. Max Miller Defends Reputation Amid Abuse

Ohio Representative Max Miller (OH-07) has been dealing with allegations of youngster abuse leveled by Rep. Miller’s ex-wife. Sunday morning, the Congressman responded, with a video assertion and a release of in depth documentation, including paperwork, recordings and data. The video and the documentation have been all launched on the Congressman’s official X account.

Congressman Miller also launched a Dropbox folder with the aforementioned data, which you’ll see right here. The opening doc states in half:

This packet incorporates the underlying paperwork, recordings, and data relating to allegations that have been publicly reported about Congressman Max Miller. It is supplied so that reporting on these allegations could be checked against the first report. Every factual declare made in the Congressman’s public assertion is supported by an exhibit in this packet, and the packet contains extra materials not beforehand made public.

And:

Village Police Department data; orders and filings of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas (General and Domestic Relations Divisions); sworn discovery responses and deposition testimony; the events’ court- sanctioned co-parenting platform (OurFamilyWizard), which timestamps every message; Ring doorbell video; and audio recordings. All recordings have been lawfully made under Ohio law (R.C. 2933.52, one-party consent). Where a recording has been filed with the Court, the submitting discover is included in Section 04. Audio excerpts are steady, unedited cuts from the unique recordings; nothing has been spliced. In excerpts where the events’ minor youngster is called aloud, the identify is masked with a temporary tone; no other alteration of any form has been made.

In the Dropbox folder, there may be a “Summary for Reporters,” a chronology of occasions, and an index of all the paperwork included. 

Rep. Miller also notes that the paperwork have been ready by his personal attorneys and paid for by him “directly.” Presumably that means with personal funds.

Sen. Moreno responded to Miller’s announcement on X:

As a father and husband, I can inform you the last two years have been pure hell for my spouse Bridget, our daughter Emily, me, and our complete household in the aftermath of Emily’s divorce.

It has been horrific to watch this play out in full public view, all while figuring out an harmless two-year-old lady is caught in the center. Our precedence has always been defending our daughter and our granddaughter. Out of concern for the protection of my household, I hoped to keep this matter personal but Max Miller’s more and more erratic and harmful habits has made that inconceivable.

As he has admitted privately, Max Miller wants severe psychological help. He is a hazard to my daughter, and I maintain my breath every minute he has custody of my granddaughter.

If there are any basic requirements of character required to maintain elected workplace, Max Miller fails them. He shouldn’t serve in the House of Representatives. I consider Max Miller wants to search skilled help to end the clear sample of abuse he has left in his wake. I consider he shouldn’t be free to continue endangering others until he does.

I ran for workplace because I wished to make a distinction for the nation that gave me every alternative to succeed, and to depart this nation better for my kids and grandchildren. That sacrifice has been particularly exhausting on my spouse Bridget, whose big coronary heart and regular assist have never wavered. I owe it to her, to Emily, and to my granddaughter to communicate the reality now.
