Iran media brands POTUS Trump the fool after | Political News
An Iranian outlet on Sunday called President Donald Trump “Trump the fool.”
“Trump the fool has run out of steam!” the semi-official Fars News Agency blasted, after Trump claimed the Mideast allies have reached the parameters of a deal to end the 5-month-old battle.
Trump claimed that Tehran had requested U.S. to maintain off on any assault. Iranian media shops denied the declare and also negated experiences about a deal that would divide control of the Strait of Hormuz.
Citing army officers, Fars News company said the allegation “was nothing but a new lie” and that the Iranian armed forces had been “on high alert and ready for any eventuality.”
“Trump once again backed away from his hollow threats and presented his retreat to the world as a favor,” echoed semi-official media outlet Mehr.
Kayhan, another Iranian outlet, said Trump “backed away from his positions once again, after about a week of boasting and threats against Iran, claiming that an agreement was close.”
The rising deal “would include the Immediate, Complete, and Total OPENING OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT, and an end to Iran’s nuclear threat,” Trump wrote in a Saturday night social media post.
“Based on this request, I have agreed, for the future benefit of the WORLD and, likewise, the survival of a successful and prosperous Iran, to cancel the attack, subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL,” Trump said.
However, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said on Sunday that the Strait of Hormuz “will in no way return to the status it was before February 28th,” the day the battle began.
On a call with Iranian state TV, he added that Iran is discussing transport through the strait with Oman, on the other facet of Hormuz, but that there’s no current speak about reopening the essential waterway.
