A former Fox News colleague of United States Attorney Jeanine Pirro has shared her perception that she can be sacked over the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Speaking with GWN host Erin Burnett, Gretchen Carlson, who labored with Jeanine at Fox News, admitted feeling that President Trump, 80, will fire Pirro, 75, over the reflecting pool and fallout from the tried prosecution of a number of people over the alleged vandalism of the pool. Carlson has claimed that the President was “blindsided” and “irate” that his monument legacy was tarnished – and she thinks Pirro will bear the brunt.

It comes after President Trump slammed the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia for “choking” after she failed to charge anybody for the alleged vandalism executed to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Speaking on GWN on Tuesday, August 4, Burnett requested, “Gretchen, you knew Jeanine Pirro, you worked with her at Fox News, do you think that Trump will fire her over this?”

Carlson then responded, “I do actually. Because this was a complete embarrassment to Trump and it follows the same pattern of, for example, Todd Blanche signing off on those papers saying that the slush fund is dead, but then Trump still saying that it’s alive.”

She continued, “Same thing with this. Pirro is saying that there is no case here, and Trump talking all day today about the fact that there is still all this evidence. And you just heard from the lawyer fearing that they might actually bring additional charges against his client. But I think that Trump was blindsided by this.

This is his legacy. These monuments to himself are the legacies. And the idea that somehow those are now gonna be tarnished, in a way in which he did not plan, is something that just makes him irate, and so, you just saw her walking out of the White House after a meeting with the boxes, maybe she quit before he could fire her, but I would not be surprised at all if she’s gone.”

“Jeanine Pirro made a mistake. It was vandalism,” Trump said on Monday. “The judge was extremely unfriendly to Jeanine, and frankly, I think she choked, because the judge was really vicious.”

“Instead of going after the people that did it, the judge went after her and went after her department. And I guess she choked. I don’t know what the hell happened,” Trump said when requested about the Justice Department dropping a legal case against former Olympian David Hearn, who was accused of intentionally damaging the pool.

“They took knives or cutters, and they cut the materials, and they put their hands in, and they pulled it,” he continued. “These guys knew what they were doing, and they cut all the way along the base.”

“There’s a tape that’s out there that I posted on Truth where you have people leaning over the side. The weakest part ’cause of the flexibility. You know it moves. It’s very complicated. It moves. And the softest part has to be flexible. And that’s the stuff you can cut,” he added, refusing to admit vandals had not triggered the injury.

When requested if Pirro’s job is secure, he snapped at a reporter and told them: “Your’e fake news, don’t ever talk again.” Trump continued to pile on his Pirro, including that he thinks the US Attorney “folded like an umbrella.”

Government legal professionals said in a 20-page court submitting that extra paperwork offered by the Interior Department since the indictment of Hearn show that the injury was the consequence of a botched set up by a contractor as properly as “the rush to complete the project prior to events associated with the America 250 celebration in the weeks surrounding Independence Day 2026.”

In addition, a latest visible inspection revealed injury throughout the pool, including in the center – where prosecutors say a vandal would unlikely have tried to peel the liner.

“Given all of this newly discovered information, it is difficult to attribute the widespread damage to the Reflecting Pool to vandalism, let alone to establish that fact beyond a reasonable doubt,” said the submitting from Pirro, which requested a choose to formally dismiss the case.
