Fox makes Trump U-turn as host seems fed up with | TV Shows

Fox News host John Roberts appeared dissatisfied with President Donald Trump’s handling of the conflict against Iran.

During the August 4 broadcast of America’s Report on Fox News, Roberts, 69, reported on the latest development in the battle with the Middle Eastern nation. The Fox News host mentioned with retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier General John Teichert how President Trump‘s negotiations with Iran have reportedly fallen through. Roberts appeared disenchanted when he revealed the U.S. had to start over from the very starting after the president failed.

Roberts appeared disenchanted when he said Trump retains “playing the same tune over and over again.” This got here after the president warned Tehran that new talks are the “last chance” for Iran to forge a deal and keep away from an escalation of U.S. strikes.

Roberts began, “So we were told weeks ago that there was a deal to open the Strait of Hormuz.

“That Iran had agreed to give up its nuclear program and permit the United States to get the nuclear file — and now we’re back to sq. one again.”

Teichert agreed, “We are,” and revealed his biggest concern, “Way back at the beginning of April, there was one and only one precondition to the original ceasefire, and that was that Iran would open up the Strait of Hormuz, no strings attached. They never did.”

He went on, “They didn’t follow through on the MOU [memorandum of understanding]. And right now, even if they made a deal, I would see it as hollow — as hollow as I fear our threats are seen in the eyes of the regime.”

“Right. Well, they just keep playing the same tune over and over again, you know,” Roberts said bluntly, and added, “We’ll see how it goes this time around.”

“General, it’s always great to catch up with you,” the host concluded.

Major concerns have recently spiked over the recent reports that the U.S. Army reportedly used “nearly all” of its precision long-range missiles during its five-month war against Iran.

The much-needed missiles are the Army’s premier surface-to-surface weapons, known as Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) and Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM).

Sources declined to tell the Times of Israel how much of each munition the U.S. has left.

President Trump launched the Iran war with Israel back in February and predicted the conflict would last only a short amount of time.

More than five months later, worries have also risen regarding the U.S.’s stockpiles of missiles.

Meanwhile, Central Command — which oversees U.S. forces in the Middle East — nearly used up its land-based missiles before the war even began. However, it was able to reload from U.S. military supplies elsewhere in the world.

The White House issued a statement on the growing issues and quoted Trump as he stated the U.S. has “far more munitions than anybody in the world” and “far more than we need.”

“Our protection firms are, at this second, making more munitions than they’ve ever made before, in addition to increasing their plants and gear at report ranges,” Trump said.
