The Internet Has a Field Day With the Staten | Political News

In a touching second, as our Rusty Weiss reported, Democratic Socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani bought booed off the stage at Staten Island’s annual National Night Out Against Crime celebration Tuesday evening.

Of course, he saved that notorious maniacal grin frozen in place so people at home or at the bar who had it on mute in the background would assume the whole lot was fantastic in his communist paradise.

Weiss wrote:

The forty third annual NYPD National Night Out Against Crime drew more than 3,500 residents and households to Midland Beach. But one particular person was clearly not welcome.

Mamdani arrived late in the night and started making his method toward the stage. Sections of the crowd immediately erupted in loud boos, jeers, and shouts for him to go away, with some utilizing profanities. Because, why not? This is Staten Island after all.

His remarks had been temporary, but Zohran saved his trademark vapid smile throughout.

“Happy Night Out Against Crime,” he said. “It’s wonderful to be right here for the Staten Island neighborhood.”

So amazing, he promptly fled the stage.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the social media beatdown commenced, and it was a joy to behold. I love this one from a real native of Staten Island, the one borough of New York’s five that didn’t vote for Mamdani:

Eric Daugherty of Florida’s Voice savored the second:

Fox News Contributor Paul Mauro, who focuses on law enforcement and legal points, said merely: “Staten Island ain’t having it.” Meanwhile, the of us over at Turning Point USA bought in a good chortle:

“Notice how Mamdani smiles right through all of it as though it’s one of his Tik Toks,” said the X account Manhattan Mingle. “The Hollywood grooming is not for nothing.” Wrote another:

It’s good to have a little enjoyable at the smirking extremist mayor because what he’s introduced upon the Big Apple so far has been something but humorous. His free grocery fantasy is already coming aside at the seams; he’s threatened and humiliated — or at least tried to — his own residents who have completed nicely in life; he’s made quite a few antisemitic remarks; he’s palled around with enemies of the state, and lots more.

I’m betting many Big Apple voters are wishing they’d a do-over. It’s too unhealthy they didn’t hear to what we had been telling them from the starting.

But keep booing, New Yorkers, and keep reminding the relaxation of the nation where this entire DSA nightmare goes if we don’t stop it.

Editor’s Note: New York City is now dealing with the penalties of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s socialist takeover.
