Fox viewers slam terrible substitute on The Five | TV Shows
Fox News viewers had been so sad with The Five’s most latest panel lineup that they switched channels.
On Friday, August 7, a number of followers of the conservative news channel took to X to specific their displeasure with the night show’s co-hosts: Kellyanne Conway, Harold Ford Jr., Jesse Watters, Gillian Turner, and Greg Gutfeld. While Watters and Gutfeld are common co-hosts of the Fox News speak show, Conway, Ford Jr., and Turner usually are not.
Their seats are sometimes crammed by Kennedy, Jessica Tarlov, Dana Perino, Tyrus, Emily Compagno, and Kayleigh McEnany. On Friday, all of these personalities would’ve been more welcomed than Turner for some viewers, who called her a “terrible substitute.” This comes after viewers criticized Sean Hannity for his “petty” jab at a visitor.
On X, one individual slammed, “@FoxNews @TheFive Gillian is a terrible substitute on this show!!! Why do you continue to let her? She does not do well on any show. Especially this one. Please listen to your viewers. @DanaPerino @JesseBWatters @greggutfeld.”
Another bashed, “So many mentally challenged statements on the five today. Turned it off when I heard Gillian Turner speak,” as a third echoed, “Gillian awful Turner on The Five. Switching channel.”
A fourth added, “Oh God! Gillian Turner @GillianHTurner is on @TheFive. Changing the channel,” as a fifth said, “Who does Gillian turner know to be on @FoxNews? Never seen a reporter that stammers as much as her. It takes her forever to finish a sentence.”
Yet another said, “No one wants to see or hear Gillian Turner on The Five. She’s a liberal and is worse than Jessica (believe it or not) because she pretends she’s a moderate. She’s a pathetic phony. Sits there under the guise of neutrality.”
Another agreed, “What is wrong with @TheFive? We get rid of that POS @JessicaTarlov and instead we get the POS Gillian Turner!”
Someone else added that Turner needed to be in Tarlov’s seat as the show’s liberal voice, slightly than Ford Jr., saying, “Gillian Turner needs to be in Jessica’s seat on The Five.”
Fox News viewers have not been joyful recently. Anchor Sean Hannity focused Democratic Pennsylvania State Representative Chris Rabb during a latest broadcast that drew criticism from conservatives.
On the August 6 version of Hannity, the conservative host initially mentioned controversial political commentator Hasan Piker, 35.
He talked about that Piker had endorsed and campaigned alongside Democratic Pennsylvania State Representative Chris Rabb, 56.
Hannity then ridiculed the consultant, who had appeared as a visitor on his show the evening before.
During his look on Hannity’s program on August 5, Rabb mistakenly addressed the host as “Scott,” which isn’t his title.
Hannity acknowledged, “Now another one of Piker’s good friends, socialist congressional candidate Chris Rabb. Well, he was on the program last night. He has the bluest district in the country.
He jabbed at his former guest, “And uh, he tried to speak in circles and pretended not to know what show he was on, while by chance revealing his true beliefs.”
Viewers flocked to social media to condemn Hannity’s remarks, suggesting he remained irritated about being called the incorrect name.
One person commented, “So they will all mispronounce Mamdani and Darializa’s names endlessly on goal, but one individual cannot call him Scott? Sooo petty, my god.”
Another person chimed in, “It can be hilarious if other friends began calling him Scott!”
A third commenter observed, “The method this clearly rattled him is good. What an unimaginable ego read Chris had on Hannity!”
Despite the backlash, Hannity had at least one defender who remarked, “He must be salty. How would you prefer it if somebody called you one thing else?”
