The Ossoff-Platner Similarities, and How They | Political News
Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) has always come off as an boastful jerk, to put it mildly, presenting himself as the white Barack Obama of Georgia who can provide a respectable speech while throwing in a lot of yada yada-ing about unity that he does not actually imply.
That was more than obvious this week after the disgusting jab he took at cancer survivor Natalie Harp, a top aide to President Donald Trump, during a marketing campaign rally in the Peach State. For those who missed it, this is what Ossoff said:
“He doesn’t want to do the job,” Ossoff claimed during a marketing campaign speech. “He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar.”

Even more icky was how, after the fact, Ossoff, a doable 2028 presidential contender, tried to act like he was insinuating one thing else other than an affair when he made a budget shot. “Well, I’ve heard this particular aide referred to as his security blanket. And I think we could say that about any number of the senior aides in the White House,” he acknowledged.
“They’re not telling him what he needs to hear,” he went on to allege in an “interview” with MS NOW anchor and former Joe Biden press secretary Jen Psaki.

When I initially heard the comment, one of the first ideas that got here to my thoughts was how this was in some methods reminiscent of the Platner marketing campaign, when the allegations of home abuse had been reported in May. No Democrat called for him to drop out, with most making an attempt to solid doubt on the allegation since it got here from a former girlfriend who also occurred to be a conservative Republican.
People had been free to draw their own conclusions about the story, but it had more up to date corroboration from close pals than something Christine Blasey Ford ever accused Brett Kavanaugh of doing. But Ford was supposed to be believed, you see, because her allegations had the potential to derail a conservative Supreme Court nominee. The allegations of Lyndsey Fifield, the home abuse accuser, had been to be ridiculed because they’d the potential to spoil the Democrats’ hopes and desires of retaking the Senate.
For Democrats, “Believe All Women” all of a sudden grew to become “Believe Some Women” – until a leftist accuser got here along, alleging inappropriate assault. Then and only then was the strain put on Platner from Democrats to withdraw.
One of the soiled little worst-kept secrets and techniques about Democrats, including Platner and Ossoff, is that they consider ladies are very expendable, particularly Republican ladies. They are “traitors” to their gender for having the audacity to be pro-life, pro-family, pro-femininity, and for selecting to consider that males will not be the foundation of all evil in this world.
For that, their tales must be discounted, and their motives distrusted. And for those in Trump’s circle, a fairly face with which to curry favor with the highly effective.
This was a level Salem News Channel host Scott Jennings made a lot better than I in a fiery rant against Ossoff on Tuesday, accusing the person he described as the Democrats’ “flavor of the month” of decreasing Republican ladies to “sex objects” somewhat than people with legitimate opinions on the important points of the day:

DIVE DEEPER: With Guys Like Jon Ossoff, Why Would Democrats Think They Need ‘Real Men’
Disrespect for ladies who select not to assume like him is just not the only factor Ossoff (aka “Pee-wee Herman“) has going against him in Georgia, and is just not the only factor he has in common with Graham Platner.
Ossoff, who is Jewish, is just not doing so properly with Jewish voters in Georgia, some of whom see his wishy-washy place on the Israel-Hamas warfare, where he has, in some situations, voted against help for Israel, as a betrayal:
Then, hypocritically and satirically, he posed with freed Israeli hostages, smoothing over the fact he had voted to deny Israel the arms its troopers needed to struggle the very captors who took them.
His own group was loud and clear in their response – not once, but twice. Nearly 50 Georgia Jewish organizations, representing the overwhelming majority of its engaged members, signed a formal rebuke; 22 rabbis added their own.
Opinion | Sen. Jon Ossoff can’t be trusted. When the only Jewish state was preventing for its life, he broke religion – and no scorecard, no invocation of his own heritage, can buy it back.https://t.co/G927sBtadZ

As the NRSC has identified, Ossoff has – like Platner – stood more with legal unlawful aliens than the residents of his own state, flip-flopping on the Laken Riley Act only when it was politically handy for him to do so.
Something else about Ossoff to keep in mind, but which isn’t related to Graham Platner, was his admission after the fact that he intentionally lied about what he knew about Joe Biden’s declining health because he was afraid it could help Donald Trump win in 2024:
I believe that just like the most brutally trustworthy reply to that query is, , when you are dealing with the spectre of Donald Trump probably being reelected to the presidency and you’ve in the sitting president the presumptive nominee, it is comprehensible that you are not going to be inclined to do or say issues that would possibly weaken that presumptive nominee against Trump, given the risk that he posed and poses.

🚨 WATCH: Jon Ossoff admits that he knowingly lied to the nation about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline because beating President Trump was more important to him.

Ossoff and other Democrats stored quiet even though they’d to bear in mind that it undoubtedly meant that unelected people had been working our nation and would have continued to had Biden stayed in the race and in some way gotten reelected.
In essence, to “save democracy” (his phrases) or whatever, Ossoff was completely keen to destroy it by holding a figurehead in the Oval Office whose handlers had to do the heavy lifting while we had been frequently gaslit about Biden’s skill to lead.
Mike Collins, who is now the GOP nominee in the race, called him out for it at the time:
Jon Ossoff last yr said he discovered Biden to be “sharp, focused, impressive, formidable, and effective.”

As I famous at the time, Ossoff has said and achieved some silly issues in workplace, but this is perhaps the most harmful factor he is ever said. Georgia voters ought to assume long and laborious before they solid their ballots in the 2026 Senate election as to whether or not they need somebody like this to continue to “represent” their pursuits in D.C.
