Now Nigerian Jihadis Are Attacking Other Muslims

There used to be a phrase that totalitarian governments would apply to people who, when turned out to scream their adoration of the dictator, instead provided a muted response to the big man’s look. Often as not, those people could be scooped up and prosecuted for what was generally termed “insufficient zeal.”

Now, in Nigeria, a nation which just about defines the idea of “Third World feces-hole,” Islamic terror teams have taken a break from slaughtering Christians and now are slaughtering Muslims who are “not practicing the true faith.” Another instance of inadequate zeal, it appears.

Jihadists have kidnapped and slaughtered scores of people in an assault during Friday prayers in central Nigeria.

The actual toll of the assaults, which also hit the village of Binzi in Niger State, was unknown, federal consultant Jafaru Mohammed said.

Jibril Ahmad, a civilian who survived the assault, said: ‘Soon after ending the traditional Friday prayer, the armed group of Lakuwara, in their a whole lot, wielding weapons, knives and machetes, started to assault us.’

‘They slaughtered some of our people, saying we’re not practising the true teachings of Islam,’ Ahmad added. 

Here’s the attention-grabbing bit: This Lakuwara group, in the course of the assault, ended up clashing with another jihadi group.

Some are understood to have escaped when another jihadist group, recognized as Mahmuda, began clashing with the militants.

It was also confirmed today that armed males kidnapped over 60 worshippers from a close by mosque.

These teams have, up until now, primarily centered on Nigerian Christians. Estimates of the quantity of Christians killed by Islamic terrorists in Nigeria fluctuate, but some figures run as high as 30,000. On Thursday, 30 Christians have been killed, and 50 houses have been destroyed in another, unrelated assault.

Not less than 30 people have been reportedly killed, with an unspecified quantity injured, while more than 50 homes and food barns have been set ablaze after gunmen suspected to be terrorists invaded the Jwak Maitumbi group in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State on Sunday.

A resident of the group, Lonji Zuhumnan, who confirmed the carnage to DAILY POST on Monday morning, said the rampaging gunmen numbering over 100 and armed with refined weapons stormed the group at about 7:30am, taking pictures sporadically for a number of hours, killing the victims, injuring others and setting homes and food silos ablaze.

These, thoughts you, aren’t navy members who are being killed. They aren’t troopers. They are harmless people, peasants in all but identify, who occur to have the improper religion, in the eyes of the jihadis. In some instances, they’ve the improper model of the fitting religion. The late, great Paul Harvey was fond of saying, “It’s not one world.” For a citizen of the United States, still today the best nation in human historical past, there’s no larger illustration of the accuracy of Mr. Harvey’s comment than Nigeria.
