Big Names in Operation Economic Outcast Against

We reported earlier on Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent‘s “Operation Economic Outcast.” It’s a three-pronged strategy where the State Department, the Department of War, and the Treasury Department are appearing to cut off Iran’s financial lifelines with any other international locations or entities to economically asphyxiate the regime. 

They announced that they had already designated almost 60 entities, people, and vessels that have been being sanctioned. They named two Iran-based entities allegedly “involved in the procurement of sensitive imagery that supported targeting of U.S. service members and partners in the region.”

AMIR HATAMI (HATAMI) is the Commander of the Artesh, Iran’s standard army.

REZA TALAEI-NIK (TALAEI-NIK) is the spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics.

Those are the big names. 

They have been also sanctioning a number of firms that they said engaged in the illicit commerce of Iranian petroleum and petrochemical merchandise, including the “dark fleet” that has helped ship tens of millions to the regime.
