WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Kinley Rasmus is on a record-setting roll at the Little League World Series.
The 12-year-old pitcher and shortstop for the Phenix City, Alabama, workforce representing the Southeast at the event had a pair of hits during a comeback win over a workforce from Tacoma, Washington, on Tuesday that saved Phenix City’s season alive.
Rasmus has 5 hits during the double-elimination event, the most by a girl at the Little League World Series.

The daughter of former major league pitcher Cory Rasmus has already distinguished herself on the mound.
Kinley Rasmus allowed one hit in six innings in a recreation against Tacoma earlier in the event.
The eight strikeouts she recorded in that outing tied Mo’Ne Davis’ mark for strikeouts by a girl in a recreation.
Rasmus then added six more strikeouts in a victory on Monday to enhance her event whole to 14, also tying a record held by Davis.
She could have a likelihood to add to her hit whole when Phenix City performs another elimination recreation on Wednesday.
