Fans are hoping for the best and nervous about the worst after news of the legendary singer’s hospitalization. Fortunately, early particulars about the ordeal sound promising about the severity. According to GWN, a source close to the state of affairs confirmed that Lionel was being proactive about his health when he checked himself into the hospital. He had just completed singing “All Night Long” at The Muny in Forest Park.
Lionel reportedly wished medical doctors to check for attainable dehydration and expects to be launched by Tuesday. Despite ending out his set as promised, attendees reportedly observed that he struggled by the closing tune. Witnesses declare he needed a chair introduced onstage so he may continue singing while seated.
Dehydration and exhaustion for a 77-year-old are critical issues to monitor, but this is a big reduction in contrast to Lionel’s incident back in June. While performing in St. Paul, Minnesota, he announced to the group that he turned overwhelmed with feeling “dizzy” and “strange.”
“When you’re feeling dizzy, sit your a** down,,” he jokingly said before taking a seat at the piano to carry out “Three Times a Lady,” according to the Minnesota Star Tribune. Shortly after that candid confession, he took an sudden break from the stage.
The Commodores star had to end that show early and obtain medical care backstage from paramedics, who rushed him to the hospital by ambulance. That incident occurred on the opening night time of his Sing A Song All Night Long Tour with Earth, Wind & Fire.
He rapidly returned to the stage, seemingly without any incidents until Saturday night time. The “Dancing on the Ceiling” singer is next scheduled to take the stage on Sept. 26 in San Francisco.
