As wellness experiences substitute conventional social gatherings in a growing motion called “daylife,” gyms and fitness studios are leaning into the second and mixing the 2.
And one wellness mecca is continuous to blur the road between going out and figuring out with the launch of an exclusive social club that affords fitness courses, rooftop events and spa access — and it’s received a growing waitlist already.

This week, Life Time has announced Life Time Social — or LT Social — a new, invite-only social club launching this month.
The exclusive neighborhood was created for “couples, singles and friends who want to meet others interested in a fit and active lifestyle,” per a press release.
Each month, they’ll host “curated social, wellness and entertainment experiences” at choose places across the nation.
For instance, the social club will kick off the weekend of September 12 and 13 at Life Time Sky in New York City, coinciding with two of town’s greatest athletic and fashion occasions — the US Open and New York Fashion Week.
The invitation-only weekend will function a DJed cocktail get together on the Sky Deck. The following day, there shall be a morning event including fitness courses, spa therapies, food and a recovery lounge, adopted by a poolside get together.
“Some of my favorite moments at Life Time go far beyond a workout,” Bahram Akradi, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Life Time said. “They’re the friendships formed after a class, the conversations that continue long after an event ends and the plans that come together because people found common ground.”

“LT Social builds on those connections, creating more opportunities to gather, explore and experience life together,” he added.
But not everybody can get in.
Although it is going to be included in common gym membership prices, gym-goers who need to be part of the social club need to apply, with the model saying a restricted quantity of candidates shall be invited.
Life Time didn’t share their standards for who will make the cut.
With occasions set to happen in cities across the nation — including New York, Miami, Chicago, Denver and Southern California — members will also be inspired to guide journeys to take part.
“Over the years, members have asked for more ways to connect beyond their workouts and now we are,” Akradi added. “LT Social will create events worth getting on a plane for.”
