The NFL is all in on selling flag football, which makes the Rams-sponsored Girls’ Jamboree on Saturday in Carson another alternative to show off a sport growing by leaps and bounds.
There are 144 groups scheduled for the fourth annual event that can be performed on fields at Dignity Health Sports Park in a format in which groups play video games within a group. More than 3,500 athletes will take part. It’s the most important flag football event hosted by any NFL workforce. Action begins at 8:30 a.m.
One of the groups collaborating is El Camino Real High, which has yet to play a sport. The Royals have been one of the most spectacular City Section groups in the summer season and will finally get began this week.
