This Hot Take From Karl Rove About unlawful

We’ve been reporting on some of the tumult coming from some Republicans in Texas over the selection of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton over incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX). 

Instead of getting on board with Paxton in a essential battle for Republicans to maintain the Senate, put in somebody who has been an efficient AG, and block out radical extremist Democrat James Talarico, Cornyn has been throwing a tantrum, even posting favorably about former Bush operative Karl Rove, who said he was going to vote for a Democrat for the Texas Railroad Commission. 

Cornyn’s posts since the first have proved that voters had been proper to reject him. 

But we still have the issue of of us like Rove who need to impose their views, as opposed to what the people of Texas and America voted for. 

Let’s pay attention to what Rove says right here in the next C-SPAN clip. He’s attacking the fact that President Donald Trump has dared to have Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) go after unlawful aliens other than just the people Rove refers to as the “bad actors.”

Rove mocks that ICE has gone to the Home Depot to arrest unlawful aliens.

He attacked Trump, saying that if he had “stayed focused on bad actors, that would have been one thing.” Rove claimed that Trump “turned the country against him”

“He went from being the guy who had solved the border problem to one who had created a new problem, which was all this dissension in major cities like Los Angeles and Minneapolis over an ill-informed ICE effort.”

So many issues are fallacious in that one clip. 

First, Trump has never said he was only going after the people who dedicated other crimes. He ran on a ticket that everybody right here illegally must go. That’s what the American people voted for, not whatever Rove is making an attempt to promote right here. Joe Biden opened the door and let in hundreds of thousands of unvetted people. 

Now, clearly, the administration has concentrated on the criminals since those are the worst, and that’s seemingly also helped with the crime discount that we have seen – another factor that Trump ought to get more credit for. But it does not imply they don’t seem to be also going to deport everybody else who is right here illegally, yes, even if they’re at the Home Depot.

If they’re right here illegally, they’re all “bad actors.” 

One of the other issues that is actually offensive about his sizzling take is that it is the Democrats’ sanctuary metropolis insurance policies that triggered a lot of the issues. ICE couldn’t just go to the jail and choose up the unlawful alien – as Rove suggests – that they had to go discover them in the group. Then, they might be met by organized leftists making an attempt to protest them or stop the arrest, which naturally created an issue. 

Rove needs to be calling out the left for manufacturing the issue, not Trump for doing the job he was elected to do, against such great strain.

Even Ken Paxton’s ex-wife, Angela, is saying vote the GOP ticket, because she will get it. 

I say this to my neighbors in Texas: get out and vote like your life relies upon on it for Ken Paxton and the Republicans – because we must do all we will to battle against this, to get what we voted for in 2024, and we will not have our state turned over to the loopy Democrats.
