John Boyega has confirmed that he certainly quietly tied the knot with ATL actress Lashontae Heckard practically two years in the past. Now, the British bloke is coming clean with another shock — he’s a proud father! On Oct. 13, the Star Wars actor revealed that he and Heckard welcomed a child “some time” in the past.
“Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now but thank you for all the well wishes. Also my sister is about to pop! Wish her well too!” Boyega, 34, captioned a picture carousel which kicked off with a image of him sweetly hugging a pregnant Heckard, 48, at what appeared to be a child bathe.
“Back to feeding this big baby!” he added.
The last slide of the Instagram carousel featured a touching video of Boyega holding his new child and gently stroking the newborn’s head. However, the Star Wars actor selected not to disclose his youngster’s title.
Adding to the hypothesis, Heckard’s Instagram bio options the title “Tae Boyega.” She also expressed her pleasure in the feedback part of Boyega’s post, writing:
“Love and blessings to my Blessing!!!!”
The actor’s big announcement comes just days after he confessed to being a married man during an interview with The Guardian revealed on Oct. 4. He explained that the couple had opted for a small ceremony but stopped short of publicly figuring out his spouse. The Woman King star also revealed he was anticipating a youngster, but didn’t point out a due date for his toddler. Well, now we all know his child was right here all along!
Boyega also opened up about the sentimental significance of his wedding ceremony rings, revealing that he owns two bands. One is a two-toned ring that holds deep “sentimental” worth, while the other was acquired at a later time.
