ABC viewers have expressed their misery and outrage after David Muir’s World News Tonight substitute delivered some heartbreaking breaking news.

Linsey Davis, who was filling in for David on December 26, supplied a tragic development in the case of Melodee Buzzard. The 9 12 months previous was reported lacking in October, with her stays being found in December.

She died from a number of gunshot wounds to the pinnacle, according to her post-mortem report. Melodee had been lacking for two months before her stays have been discovered in a distant space outdoors of Caineville, Utah, hundreds of miles from her home in California.

Presenting a map of their journey, Andrew detailed: “The mother and daughter leaving their home in Lompoc, California, on October 7 for a three-day road trip to Nebraska.

“According to authorities, Ashlee rented a white 2024 Chevy Malibu and travelled more than 3,000 miles for the street journey.”

The ABC correspondent further disclosed that investigators suspect Ashlee donned wigs during the journey and “switched license plates along the way in which.”

He then aired a CCTV footage showing the duo at a car rental facility, three days before Ashlee returned to California sans her daughter.

Interestingly, it wasn’t Ashlee who reported Melodee missing but a school administrator, triggering a multi-state search for the nine year old.

Viewers of World News Tonight swiftly took to social media to express their reactions to the story. One Instagram user vented: “Such a very unhappy story. What form of mom of all people would do such a heinous crime!”

Another person pleaded: “Why? Why? Lord have mercy,” while a third Instagram user commented: “Unbelievable. Why would you do that your own child? I’m so sick of these poor, evil conditions.

“Sad thing it’ll never end cause this is definitely HELL ON EARTH! ! ! ! ! ! ! Poor baby, why I hate humans.”

Ashlee is at present detained without bail and is slated to seem in court again on January 7.
