ABC viewers fume over terrible news as David | TV Shows

ABC World News Tonight audiences have been introduced to the verge of tears following a “horrific” breaking news report.

The program’s common anchor, David Muir, 52, was lacking on Friday, December 12, as he took his customary weekend hiatus. Nevertheless, viewers remained informed as fellow ABC News correspondent Whit Johnson crammed in for the usual host.

During the printed, Johnson paused this system to inform audiences that a girl had been knifed in the back while tending to her toddler at a retail heart. The little one remained unhurt during the incident, and the mom is at the moment in secure condition.

Johnson revealed to watchers, “A mother stabbed in the back while changing her baby at a Macy’s in midtown Manhattan in a seemingly unprovoked attack, according to authorities.

“Police say the girl, a vacationer from California, was attacked by another girl inside a restroom on Thursday. “The woman’s husband reportedly disarmed the suspect and held her down until police arrived.

“The mom is in secure condition, and her child woman was unhurt. The suspect, Kerri Aherne, is now charged with tried homicide.”

The segment was posted to ABC World News Tonight’s Instagram account, accompanied by the description, “While altering her child’s diaper in a toilet at Macy’s Herald Square, a mom was stabbed in the back in a seemingly unprovoked assault, authorities say. The mom is in secure condition, and her child woman was unhurt. @WhitJohnsonTV reviews.”

Viewers expressed their shock over the incident, with one user commenting on Instagram, “Unbelievable. I believe the girl who stabbed her was out to get her child. So sick!! God Bless that household!!”

Another person wrote, “What goes on right here in NYC so unhappy,” as someone else said,  “It’s NOT secure ANYWHERE these days, ” someone else remarked.

“Pure evil is lurking to assault you when you least count on it! !” A fourth individual commented, “Terrible. So many violences and tragic occur nearly on a regular basis.”

“Insane that these issues are occurring so unhappy, hope the girl recovers effectively,” one viewer expressed. “Thank God for her husbands fast response,” a fourth observed.

David Muir was not present on the program during his regular weekend absence. Co-anchor Johnson stepped in to cover his duties and also delivered updates on another developing story to the audience.

He informed viewers, “Also breaking tonight, disturbing allegations following the firing and arrest of former Michigan soccer head coach Sherrone Moore, the married father of three, showing in court today.

“He’s accused of terrorizing a woman inside her home hours after he was fired for having an inappropriate relationship with a staffer. Moore, now facing multiple charges. Here’s ABC News. Alex Perez tonight,” he announced before handing over to his colleague.
