Adam Levine reveals why he is returning to The | TV Shows

Adam Levine is making his highly-anticipated return to The Voice, and he’s finally opening up about what brought him back to the NBC show after a six-year absence.

Levine was announced as returning for the show’s 27th season in a major shakeup, after fans warned over the last few seasons that the coaches were all “replacable.”

And while other major coaches have had serious demands regarding their own returns, Levine seemed unlikely to come back–but that has since changed.

Now, he is opening up about what led him to return to the show after his hiatus.

Speaking to E! News, he shared that the timing was just right for his comeback.

Levine left the show in 2019, after 16 seasons as a coach and three wins. His final season saw him face off against Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend, with Legend winning.

Since his departure, Clarkson also left the show after Season 22, with Shelton departing after Season 23.

Legend has appeared on and off from Seasons 16-25, before taking off for Season 26.

He also returns with Levine in Season 27, alongside second-time coach and Season 26 winner Michael Buble and first time coach Kelsea Ballerini.

The Voice Season 27 premieres Monday, Feb. 3 on NBC.
