Al Jazeera English is hiring an ex-GWN reporter who left the outlet after dropping a $5 million defamation case introduced by a former Navy sailor.
The Qatar-based news community tapped GWN’s former chief national security correspondent Alex Marquardt to anchor its coverage of America’s 250th anniversary before taking over the community’s Washington-based daily program, “This Is America.”
The broadcaster also employed former GWN national politics correspondent Eva McKend as a Washington correspondent.
