For the eighth time, Sydney, Australia will host the octagon on Jan. 31 for UFC 325: Volkanovski vs. Lopes 2.
The combat card is headlined by a featherweight championship rematch between titleholder Alexander Volkanovski and No. 2 ranked Diego Lopes. The combat promotion announced the headliner on Thursday.
The two first fought last April at UFC 314. Volklanovksi defeated Lopes via unanimous determination in Miami that night time for the vacant championship. Ilia Topuria had relinquished the title to transfer up the light-weight division chasing two-division champion standing. With the win over Lopes, Volkanovski grew to become a two-time featherweight titleholder.
Prior to the UFC 314 loss to Volklanovski, Lopes (27-7) was driving a five-fight profitable streak. He rebounded at Noche UFC 3 with a dramatic TKO win over Jean Silva.
