Amanda Kloots reveals sign she got from late…
He still helps her “Dreams.”
The day before she launched her new podcast “Good Grief,” an anxious Amanda Kloots spoke to her late husband, Broadway star Nick Cordero.
“I was driving around LA and I was feeling very nervous, and I was talking to Nick. I talk to him a lot in the car. And I was like, ‘Honey, I hope this is the right thing. Please just be with me . . . I hope people listen, I hope people like it,’” Kloots told The Post.
Then she got a message from heaven in the shape of her favourite tune.

“I end my speech, and ‘Dreams’ from The Cranberries comes on the radio,” she recalled, smiling.
“I literally was just like, ‘Thank you. That just gave me such a reassurance,’” she said.
“Yes, that could be blown off by anyone as like, ‘Well that wasn’t a sign.’ But to me, that’s a sign. And it is a sign from him,” she said.
Cordero, 41, died in July 2020 due to issues from COVID-19.
He entered the ICU in March 2020, where he was positioned in a medically induced coma, ultimately had his leg amputated, suffered two strokes and sepsis.
Kloots, 44, went live on Instagram every day during the 95 days Cordero spent in the hospital to lead a singalong of his tune, “Live Your Life,” in the hopes that it will encourage him to wake up — and people from around the world joined in help.
“I have this digital frame in my house … sometimes I’ll walk by and a picture pops up and it will stop me dead in my tracks and it’ll bring me to instant tears … Days later I’ll see that same picture and I’m completely fine and I smile,” she said. Courtesy of Amanda Kloots
“When you’re going through hard times in life . . . you need people that understand your pain . . . that will offer that help and guidance. And that was social media for me when Nick was in the ICU, ” said Kloots, who wears a diamond ring made from Cordero’s ashes.
The couple’s son, Elvis, was just 13 months outdated when his father died.
Kloots, a former Rockette, who moved to the Big Apple at 18 from her native Ohio, met Cordero when they have been both in the musical “Bullets Over Broadway.”
The dancer-actress had just gotten divorced, but knew there was one thing particular between them after they spoke until 2 a.m. at the now-shuttered Broadway hangout, Angus McIndoe.

“We were the last people in the bar and I left and I was like, ‘Oh gosh, I think I really like this guy,’” she recalled, laughing.
Kloots, who launched her podcast on Aug. 5, discovered that initiatives about grief have been a laborious promote.
“Grief is such a taboo topic still and people have a hard time talking about it because I think we’re used to burying our grief, but I really want to change that,” she said.

Guests on the show will embrace “mothers that have lost their children, fellow widows and widowers, and people that date widows and widowers,” she said.
Kloots, who based the workout model AK! Fitness, felt prepared to date again a 12 months and a half after Cordero died, and went public with her relationship with retired tennis participant Justin Gimelstob last 12 months.
“It wasn’t until after I did ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ that I felt comfortable being with and near a man again,” said Kloots, who competed on Season 30 of the collection with professional dancer Alan Bersten.
“I’m drinking coffee the other day … and Elvis was like, ‘I’ll never drink coffee.’ And I was like, ‘Let me tell you, you will. Your dad used to love coffee,’” Kloots recalled of her dialog with their son Elvis, now 7. Courtesy of Amanda Kloots
She also launched a memoir, aptly titled “Live Your Life,” and hopes it turns into a film someday, with Adam Driver starring as Nick and Amanda Seyfried enjoying her.
“I met her recently and she was so lovely. I could see her being the Broadway girl, the fitness girl, and a mom,” she said.
The multi-hyphenate mother retains Nick’s reminiscence alive by speaking about him every day with their son Elvis, who is now 7.
“I’ve never let his name die in the house.”
