Tiger Baby’s critically acclaimed unscripted documentary sequence In-Transit, streaming on Amazon Prime Video, has been nominated for Outstanding Documentary at the 37th Annual GLAAD Media Awards. The nomination locations the sequence among global works recognised for truthful, correct, and inclusive illustration of LGBTQ+ lives and points across media platforms.
Directed by Ayesha Sood and produced by Tiger Baby, In-Transit traces the deeply personal journeys of 9 trans and non-binary people from across India. Set against various backdrops ranging from metropolitan cities like Mumbai and Delhi to smaller cities, the sequence explores themes of identification, love, household, and self-expression past inflexible gender binaries.
Each particular person featured in the sequence is at a different stage of their journey, collectively difficult long-standing societal norms while offering an intimate look into lived realities within a distinctly Indian context. Notably, In-Transit is the only Indian documentary nominated in this class, underscoring the growing global recognition of genuine Indian storytelling.
