Carrie Underwood is set to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration – and some followers are shocked.

The president-elect’s transition staff revealed the information on January 13 and added that the singer and American Idol‘s newly-appointed judge will perform a rendition of America the Beautiful on Monday, January 20.

The Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club will accompany her on stage

The transfer has shocked her followers, who known as for a boycott towards her online.

“No longer a Carrie Underwood fan,” wrote one consumer on X, as one other added: “Sad factor is, I used to love her music and her fashion, however ever since I came upon she was a Trump lover, Carrie Underwood is no longer allowed on this home for even a second.”

A third fan said: “Carrie Underwood getting canceled in 2025 was not on my bingo card,” as a fourth commented: “Guess I’m no longer a Carrie Underwood fan.”

Yet another said: “Yeah Carrie Underwood is certainly who I assumed she was.”

Underwood’s husband, retired NHL star Mike Fisher, has been more openly political than the singer.

According to Axios, in 2017, the inaugural committee faced difficulties finding guests willing to perform at the celebration for Trump’s first inauguration.

Trump’s 2017 inauguration day featured performances from the Radio City Rockettes and Jackie Evancho, a former runner-up on America’s Got Talent.

“President Trump is dedicated to uniting the country through the strength, security, and opportunity of his America First agenda,” committee co-chairs Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler said in a press release about the upcoming inauguration.

“The 2025 inaugural celebrations will reflect President-elect Trump’s historic return to the White House and the American people’s decisive vote to Make America Great Again.”

Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance are scheduled to be sworn in at noon, followed by the official farewell for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump will then head to the President’s Room close to the Senate chamber, the place it’s custom to signal nominations.

He will then kick off the presidential parade, which matches from the Capitol down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House, with a review of the troops.

Trump will then attend three inaugural balls, the Commander in Chief Ball, the Liberty Inaugural Ball and the Starlight Ball, and he’s anticipated to converse at all three, in accordance to the press release.
