Hawaiian Airlines Is Adding Capacity To Higher-Demand Routes

The demise of the Boston-Honolulu route wasn’t the only important change announced by Hawaiian Airlines. The service also suspended flights from Hawaii’s capital to Seoul, South Korea and Fukuoka, Japan. The airline is shifting its focus to including capability to higher-demand routes to Honolulu. The Airbus A330 planes from the suspended companies will now be flying to Los Angeles, Seattle, Tahiti and Sydney, Australia.

With no direct flights from Boston, the new longest home flight in the United States is between John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and Honolulu. The Yankees may be trailing the Red Sox in the American League East standings, but the Big Apple is yet another accolade to cling over the Bostonians’ heads.
