Apple has discontinued its high-end Mac Pro desktop after a two-decade run.
The pc, which was aimed at serving video editors and other skilled techies, was quietly eliminated from Apple’s web site, Bloomberg reported. The machine had been priced at $6,999.
The end of Mac Pro’s run was not fully sudden. Apple hadn’t launched a new model of the pc since 2003. Instead, the tech giant, led by CEO Tim Cook, shifted focus to the smaller Mac Studio, which obtained an upgraded chip in a new model launched last yr.

Apple has no plans to offer future updates for the Mac Pro model, a company spokesperson told the Apple-focused weblog 9to5Mac.
The highly effective pc was not a big draw for Apple and the company has been promoting through the remaining stock in its bodily shops, according to Bloomberg.
