Bachelor in Paradise fans were left divided, with some confused, over the “vanilla” argument during the season 10 premiere.

The beloved dating show has returned after a two-year hiatus with some key changes, one being the new setting that has fans branding it as the “Walmart Love Island.”

Their disappointment was somewhat muted by the familiar faces that returned but the major drama that they hoped would transpire with the troublesome castmates fell flat, according to their reactions on X.

Fans were first excited to see that “the fighting has begun.” However, they were quickly let down to find that the subject was not about a love triangle or connection but actually about “vanilla.”

The disagreement first started when Hakeem Moulton and Ricky Marinez realized they had received nos from a few of the female contestants during a game that rated each person’s qualities.

A third wrote, “Ricky & Hakeem are already fighting over something so dumb like come on now!!”

As some laughed at “the two GROWN men tantruming over vanilla,” others took sides, with one writing, “ricky is starting drama and then is getting mad at hakeem?? nope nope nope.”

A viewer weighed in, “I’m on Hakeem’s side, Ricky step aside and leave my boo alone!”

Someone else commented, “RICKY…little boy…THAT WAS NOT, DID NOT sound like a joke to me OR to Hakeem!!!”

“I’m ok with Ricky being mean,” a fourth opposed.

Ricky’s argument could have caused him to repeat history. During his appearance on season 21 of The Bachelorette, the 29-year-old was eliminated during the first episode.

Hakeem also appeared on Jenn Tran’s season and made just a little farther than his castmate, going home at the end of week three.
