Bachelor followers have been left respiration a sigh of aid that the franchise isn’t going wherever after the cancellation of Taylor, Frankie, and Paul’s season, but one of the boys who competed on her season has seemingly hinted that the e book isn’t totally closed when it comes to her episodes being seen.

Paul, 31, the star of Hulu’s Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, was set to star as the Season 22 lead for the ABC romantic competitors sequence, but just days before the premiere, the show was pulled amid an ongoing home violence investigation involving her and her ex, Dakota Mortensen.

Fans have been calling for the season to still air since it was canceled, with many citing Mortensen’s function in the drama as a purpose for it to still air.

Now, one of the boys, Doug Mason, has seemingly hinted that they could still air at some level.

Appearing on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast on Friday, April 17, Mason, 28, a lifeguard from San Diego, California, spoke to hosts Charity Lawson and Rachel Recchia as he mentioned his time on the show.

While speaking about feeling like he had a “target” on his back at some level, though, he seemingly indicated that the ladies would see how issues would play out on a later date.

“I think there’s a certain point in this journey where it becomes evident that people are judging me before they get to know me, so you guys are just going to have to wait and see,” he said.

His feedback got here a few days prior to the franchise confirming it will make a return despite the drama surrounding Taylor’s season, as properly as the end of Jenn Tran’s season in 2024, which had served as the catalyst for change in casting after males from her season admitted they’d thought they have been going to compete for Maria Georgas or Daisy Kent’s affections over hers.

Speaking in an interview with The Wrap that was revealed on April 22, government vice president of unscripted and various leisure at Disney, Rob Mills, confirmed the franchise could be back, before also teasing that there was a likelihood for Taylor’s season to ultimately air.

“We take everything a day at a time,” he said. “We’re sort of really still processing everything and figuring out…planning for the next cycles of The Bachelor franchise, and really just kind of looking at everything.”

At the time, the main target was primarily on the next season of The Bachelor, with it set to premiere during midseason 2027.

The Bachelor last aired in early 2025, with Grant Ellis looking for love. The Bachelorette last aired in summer season 2024.
